Throughout 2021 we have shared the progress of our 2021 Envision Student Partnership Program. It is our pleasure today to announce the launch of the final research piece, 'eMerge: A trauma informed mental health hub for young people' by Michelle Lee and Daniel Calvetti and supported by the NBRS Wellness Sector led by Ian Gibson.
eMerge provides a vision for a transformative change in the way healthcare buildings can be designed to support individualised care, respond to social and cultural factors, and reduce the burden of mental illness in the community.
This research document has been conceived by expert students taking part in the NBRS Envision program. The student’s deep immersion in and understanding of the mental health issues confronting youth today has contributed to the formation of a model physical environment supporting trauma-informed care.
Thank you to all the mentors and collaborators who played a part in contributing to this important milestone in understanding trauma informed care.
