NBRS is pleased to share that our partnership with The Gidget Foundation, and the design of a new regenerative garden for the Gidget House is now complete.

In 2021, NBRS contacted Gidget House, North Sydney to assist with the design of a new regenerative garden for women experiencing post natal depression. Gidget House aims to raise awareness of perinatal depression and anxiety and provide support for those in need, through free psychological counselling services. Gidget Houses are accessible and provide compassionate holistic care for expectant and new parents and their families.

The new garden has transformed the space from an overgrown wilderness, to an oasis of productive food plants, and tanquil plants to sit amongst. This garden has been designed and rejuvinated to provide an outdoor space of therapy and respite for women across Sydney who suffer from post natal depression.

Landscape Architect Hugh Marchant and NBRS Wellness Sector Lead Ian Gibson both donated their expertise in planning and design while NBRS, Landscape Solutions and Blooms the Chemist contributed funding and volunteers to deliver the project on site.
