NBRS are proud to be celebrating our female employees, and women around the world today on International Women’s Day. This year, on International Women's Day, we #choosetochallenge, calling out gender inequality and celebrating women in Architecture.

Last week NBRS held an art competition on the IWD theme and also enjoyed a celebratory morning tea on Friday. Congratulations to Melanie Karaca who won our IWD Art Competition for her artwork she prepared with her young daughter using traditional leave weaving technique.

At the morning tea, we came together to watch an inspirational Ted Talk by Liz Ogbu, an architect and spatial justice activist, who touched on designing opportunities for impact. A large part of what we do at NBRS, and part of what Liz mentioned, was designing for the user not the building.

We are proud to have such a diverse group of female architects, designers and leads at NBRS and continue to foster a diverse, inclusive and engaging workplace culture that values all our team members.
