Anthea Doyle
“Architecture in the Justice sector can drive better outcomes for society. Lower crime rates for police, reduced incarceration for courts, reduced reoffending & improved conditions in corrections, and hopefully a more socially conscious society”

Leading the NBRS Melbourne Studio, Anthea ensures that NBRS is responsive to our client's and partner's needs across all areas of the business, drawing on her experience working on complex, large-scale public sector projects with diverse stakeholder needs. In her role as National Practice and Sector Lead - Secure Spaces, Anthea seeks to create responsive and secure facilities that serve all who interact with them. Key to her approach is the commitment to maintaining clear and concise communication with the client and the wider design team.

Anthea brings a breadth of experience and expertise to the public sector, having worked in a number of secure environments such as Correctional Centres, Juvenile Justice Facilities, Courts and Forensic Health Facilities. Her specific knowledge and comprehensive set of tools allow her to meet clients’ needs throughout all different stages of delivery on a wide range of justice projects for both public and private clients.

A desire to deliver uplifting, person-centred environments that promote reflection and inspire change guides Anthea’s design thinking. She believes that by understanding how public and civic facilities are used and maintained, NBRS can create functional architecture that stands the test of time.
