James is an Principal and an Education specialist with over 10 years of industry experience. He brings a wide breadth of experience and expertise to the sector including concept design, masterplanning and project delivery.
James has been leading the design team for Warnervale Public School and was the Project Lead during the delivery phase for LEA Award Winning Armidale Secondary College. Prior to this James was a key part of the delivery of the AIA award winning Taronga Institute of Science and Learning. The first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, the Institute supports Taronga to expand capabilities in conservation science, research and learning. Located within Sydney’s Taronga Zoo, the building holds a six-star environmental rating.
James’s focus over the past few years has been translating the design concepts into delivery documentation, and is skilled at simplifying detail into construction drawings without losing design intent. He recognises the importance of value management and, with a construction management background, has a developed understanding of the construction program, procurement process and costs. This, coupled with his eye for construction detail makes James highly valuable during Parts 4-9 of SINSW projects.
