Maria joined NBRS in 2019 as a registered architect with project experience in both Sydney and London.
While working in Sydney, Maria completed a number of high-end residential projects in Mosman, Cremorne and Lane Cove. During her time in London, she worked for an award winning practice with a strong focus on education architecture. There, Maria delivered The Gateway project for Lady Eleanor Holles Independent school in Hampton as well as two public schools for the Department of Education and a refurbishment for Southampton Solent University.
Through her previous roles, Maria has developed a great sense of excellence in education architecture arising from in depth investigation into client needs and aspirations. Maria’s design approach is underpinned by her knowledge of construction and procurement with a focus on simple and elegant design that leads to inspiring learning spaces. Her main area of research is related to how architecture can have a positive influence in learning.
