NBRS worked alongside Sydney Catholic Schools to refurbish existing classrooms and library spaces creating a new learning hub for year 2 and year 5-6 students. The new learning spaces have been designed to create a more optimised, flexible and diverse learning environment.
Through the use of zoning within each space, education is transformed to accommodate a diverse range of learning styles to suit the individual requirements of students. The use of innovative joinery design creates a series of withdrawal spaces where students can carry out focus work or take respite.
The year 5-6 multi modal space creates a dynamic and flexible learning environment suitable for numerous classes to perform various concurrent activities.
The use of green zones at the perimeter of each learning space connects the interior to the treetop views beyond, reinforcing a sense of place and connection to nature.
