Located on Dharawal country, in the heart of the Sutherland Shire, 26km south of Sydney's CBD, The Pavilion represents a new chapter in providing a world-class performing arts venue.

With its state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge technology, and stunning architectural design, The Pavilion sets a new standard for cultural venues in the region. To bring the facilities up to date, NBRS partnered with architectural practice CHROFI to design upgrades that would provide the highest standards of technical and production facilities, while exploring new ways to engage the growing community.

Rebuilt within the ‘bones’ of the old Sutherland Entertainment Centre, the approach was to work with the existing space, creating a welcoming timber and glass foyer that improves connection with the neighbouring Peace Park. The new entry openly invites visitors to come and explore the building while creating a strong connection to the landscape.

The venue boasts a spacious auditorium with seating for over 680, offering every visitor an intimate and engaging experience. In addition to the main auditorium, The Pavilion features versatile event spaces that can accommodate a range of performances, exhibitions, conferences, and community gatherings. These flexible spaces are designed to cater to the diverse needs of artists, organisations, and the local community.

Visitors can be immersed in a captivating atmosphere that blends elegance, innovation, and artistic vibrancy. This renewed focal point for the arts, The Pavilion Performing Arts Centre, sets a benchmark for performing arts facilities in the Shire, supporting the local community while attracting touring productions to the region.
