NBRS visit Buronga Community Health Centre

NBRS joined Barpa Construction Services down at the Buronga HealthOne Community Health Centre site last week to catch up on the build progress.

Buronga Community Health Centre seeks to meet the needs of the local population by integrating general practice and other specialist and community health services including counselling, community mental health, allied health, primary care and oral health services. User group and consumer group consultation led to design concepts that connected with the regional context and reflected connection with the river.

Kicking off with a welcome to country by Arthur Kirkby, NBRS Wellness Sector Lead, Ian Gibson joined the Barkandji Rangers, builders and project managers to discuss the design process and share in highlights from the site progress so far.

Buronga Community Health Centre is due to be completed Q2 2022, and we look forward to sharing updates as this important space for the Buronga community comes to life.
